About Validity Checks and Lookups

Go to the Settings page.

Settings page is defaulted to General tab.
Find Contact Lookup at the bottom of page.

Click on the Contact Lookup drop-down list, click on the type of lookup you want, then click Save.

Format Only checks the format of the input and ensures it is a valid format.

Validity Check ensures the entered phone number or email are valid contacts.

Enhanced Data does a Validity Check and also returns information about the contact owner.

(for the purposes of this article, we will select Validity Check)
Go to the Clients page (step1) and select a client (step2).

On the selected client's page, both Phone Number and Email contacts can be added via the same field.

Phone Validation

Fill in the Add Phone or Email field and click Add Contact.

If it is a valid phone number, it will return a validated contact and default it to be Auto-Notifiable.

If the phone number is invalid but has the correct format (###-###-####), it will be added and marked as invalid.
If it is not the correct format, it will show Not a valid contact error message.

Email Validation

Fill in the Add Phone or Email field and click Add Contact.

If the entered email address is a valid one, it will return a validated contact and default it to be Auto-Notifiable.

If the email address is invalid, it will return an invalid contact.
